Surf & Turf System Warranty Information
All systems come with a 2 year warranty.
3 Years on Monitor, Hard Drive & CPU
What is covered:
Defects in materials and or workmanship on any parts bought with the system will be repaired or replaced at our option.
System must be brought to the shop for service.
All items, which are repaired, adjusted, or otherwise attended in situations not resulting from hardware failure, will be billed normally.
Examples of what is not covered:
Damage to equipment due to abuse, misuse, or inappropriate conditions are not covered.
Virus damage or infection, function of hardware obtained elsewhere, configuration changes, and other problems not caused by malfunction or failure of warranted Surf & Turf hardware is also not covered.
Problems regarding software function should be directed to the software manufacturer.
Surf & Turf does not warrant suitability to purpose nor compensate for loss of data or function due to hardware, software or any other malfunction or event.
Please make appropriate backups before service, and of your critical files as you use them.
Windows 98/Windows ME/Windows2000 as the operating system, Windows 98/ME/2000 is directly supported by Surf & Turf. We will endeavor to answer all technical inquiries regarding the Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000 product. Labor rendered to repair damage or modified Windows installations are not covered under warranty except where such damage results from a warranted hardware failure.
What happens when an item fails? Telephone us! We will advise you on the phone if possible, and then advise you as to the next step. We will arrange a time to perform the work in-shop.
What charges may be incurred for non-warranty items?
Work in shop not covered by warranty will get a minimum one-half-hour charge of $25.00 +tax, and be billed in 30-minute increments after one half-hour. Extra, non-warranty work or service rendered while on a warranty job may also be billed. Prices quoted are subject to change, but terms of this warranty at time of system purchase are not except for clarification of the above.
Please note that we do not warrant the following:
- Damage by User modification of Windows 98SE/Windows ME/Windows 2000 or other software programs by such things as accidental or deliberate deletion, re-naming or other modification of key Windows system files.
- Damage by virus or intentional misuse.
- Damage done by electrical storm (hydro surges), low voltage, power-blackouts and other Acts of God, such as flood damage.
Before you make any changes to your computer, make sure you know what to do to reverse the changes, as well as the reasons you are making the changes.
Always read any paper manuals thoroughly. The Help section of Windows also contains a user tour to learn about Windows. Also read through the Help section of any other software installed on your computer.
